Our experienced staff have an intimate knowledge of the bridleways
and lanes around Bakewell and throughout the Peak District (plus
of course the best pubs and cafes!!); various options are available
to visitors to the area whether hiring a bike from us or simply
cycling/mountain biking in the area:
Routes/Maps
> Our own A4 map of The Monsal Trail is available (price 50p)
from the cycle hire providing information about where to ride,
eat, visit etc in the locality. Cost by post 75p - send cheque
payable to ÒBakewell Cycle HireÓ to the address below.
> Full colour, laminated/weatherproofed OS A4 map sections
with our recommended Peak District cycling or mountain bike routes
highlighted on plus full directional instructions and vital local
information are available by pre-ordering i.e. contact us with
your requirements first then either collect or have it sent. Each
section of map which includes one long route (with options to
shorten it if required) is available at a cost of £1.95 each (add
50p P+P if being posted).
> OS maps of the area can be supplied if ordered in advance.
Guided Rides
> We can provide full or half day tailor made guided rides
to suit all abilities i.e. from relaxing bike ambles visiting
the best pubs and tea shops to a full blown mountain bike ride
sampling the best tracks the area has to offer!
> Forget the route-finding - we do it for you!
> 'taster' mountain bike rides/sessions
> Weekends of easy cycling or mountain biking for all sizes
of groups with accommodation organised if required. Our staff
also have detailed knowledge of mountain bike and easy cycling
routes in Wales/Snowdonia, The Lake District and The Yorkshire
Dales.
