We want you to enjoy your visit to Bakewell and we think that
one of the best ways to see the sights is by bike!
From our cycle hire centre based on the Monsal Trail, there are
miles of lanes and bridleways to enjoy - from the level, easy
4 miles of well surfaced trail and adjoining country lanes to
the buzz of forest tracks and stony downhills in both the White
and Dark Peak.
Our friendly and helpful staff will provide you with quality,
reliable suitable bikes and point you in the right direction.
All the bikes provided are fully serviced and safety checked
before every hire and are equipped with toolkits and pumps just
in case the unexpected should happen!
We strongly recommend that helmets be worn and
these are also available for hire at no extra cost.

Discounted rates are available to all groups; we also offer a
delivery/collection service for groups of 5+ within a 10 mile
radius of Bakewell.
We encourage groups to meet and ride from Bakewell simply because
the choice of routes is excellent; by coming to the hire centre
it also ensures that you get a bike and helmet that fits you properly.
Outdoor Activities
A full range of outdoor activities aimed specifically
at groups is available through High Peak Outdoor Activities as
a compliment to mountain biking and cycling, including: climbing/abseiling,
open canoeing, walking/mountaineering, orienteering/navigation
and caving for beginners, all with instruction to National Governing
Body Standards.
On the corporate side HPOA offer team building/problem solving
scenarios plus business/management solutions.
